Monday announcements on Friday

Friday: Meeting from 3:30-4:20 pm in Smith 107. This is the last meeting of the quarter so be sure to make it. A Vet group from Edmonds Community College is going to be there so we want a big turnout.

Saturday: Husky football against California at 3:30 pm. There is still no one who has volunteered to run the tailgate. Remember you can get 4 free tickets by going to the Husky ticket office before 5 pm today and showing your military ID.

Sunday: Watch the 49ers vs Seahawks, at the Rat and Raven, game starts at 1:15 pm. It is a home game but should still be fun.

Other news

Pictures that have been taken over the last month should be posted by Monday. Any pictures that you want put up on the website can be emailed to david.baydek@hotmail.com.

T-shirt ideas can be brought to the meeting today. The more creative the better.

Trivia night at Pied Piper

There is “trivia night” at the Pied Piper Ale House tonight at 8:00 pm. The address for the restaurant is 2404 NE 65th St. It is a fun event and they are also accepting donations for care packages that will be sent overseas to military members. I also happen to live next to the Pied Piper so there might something going on afterwords. The 71 and 372 will take you from campus to within a block. They have great prices for bar food and prizes for people participating. Sorry for the late notice but hope to see you there.

Monday announcements on Tuesday

Thursday: Thanksgiving! Just remember not to go to school on Thursday or Friday this week. I talked with all the teachers on campus and they said it was cool with them.

Saturday: APPLE CUP!!! The day has finally arrived when UW will get its fourth win of the year. Tailgating starts at 8am at the normal place (First couple of rows next to the 2nd skybridge). The game is at 3:30 pm so arrive early and get ready for a good time. Everyone is welcome and you don’t have to have tickets to tailgate.

Other notes:

Robb wants to remind everyone that Jim Curtis is offering self-defense classes and says it costs about $60 for one year. More information is available in last week’s blog post. Anyone interested should email Robb at uw.veterans@gmail.com.

We need some t-shirt designs for this years HUMV shirt. All submissions should be sent to uw.veterans@gmail.com. If we have enough submissions we will vote on it at the next meeting. Be creative!
